– SDK SPRITER –

The interface to this all-in-one animation and level design studio is being redesigned for 720P resolution on the TV. We should have a teaser video available this month. There will be an eShop demo closer to the release, which will include the Sprites (character design and animation) mode. Additional modes in the full version include Tiles (pixel block creation), Maps (scene layouts), and Levels (interaction of sprites inside several types of scenes). Players will be able to share artwork to Miiverse and online.

Spritesheets – collection of 64×64 (pixel) sprites, 8 frames, and 4 compass directions, making them the total size of 512×256 (pixel) Tilesets – collection of 64×64 (pixel) tiles in 16 by 16 grid, making them the total size of 1024×1024 (pixel) Tilemaps – placement of a 128×128 (tile) grid, generated by positioning tiles from a single tileset Levels – 7 layers of tilemaps, 1 player sprite, and 16 additional sprites, controllable in overhead or sidescroller modes

– TOMELING: DARKNESS FALLS –

This RPG will bring nostalgia for many gamers who grew up in the era of the turn-based classics, just in toon-shaded 3D. Exploration, magic, battles, and all the expected traits of RPGs are present. We should have some video footage to show within the next month, but we want to keep most of the details secret for the moment. 😉
